I have connected TWS to a remote Git repository, and I'd like to be able to create a new local branch from TWS and start working on the new branch before pushing it up to the remote.  The "Create Branch" button does indeed create a new branch locally, however, it doesn't seem to be useable.  After creating the branch, and trying to switch to it in TWS, the Version Control window shows "Value cannot be null." error.  I've attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing.

It seems that if I create the branch on the remote first, I don't run into this problem.  Is there a way to make this work without creating the remote branch first, or is this the required workflow with TWS?

It seems as though The Welkin Suite requires there to be a remote branch equivalent for every local branch or else it doesn't play nicely with the Version Control integration window.  If you have a remote branch for every local branch, then it seems to work.

        Hi Andy,

Thank you for contacting us on this and sorry for a delay in my response.

You are right - currently, each remote branch should have an equivalent local branch for setting up a proper pointing your Git repository to your TWS project.

I'm happy to hear that you found this solution and if you would have any additional questions - please let me know.

As a side note, currently, we consider some changes in the implemented approach for the built-in Git support that would make a process of configuring version control more easier and convenient. I cannot tell you when exactly we will start working on this since there are a lot of things to investigate. However, we would greatly appreciate your feedback or for sharing any questions that you would be faced with when working on this functionality in the IDE so that we could handle them.

        Thank you for your collaboration.

        Best Regards,
