[Fixed] Cannot Pull Class File

    Occasionally I will be working on a class file.  

    1. Another developer edits the class file while I am working on it.  
    2. I get the error that I cannot save, has pending server changes. 
    3. I attempt to pull the latest version, then manually merge my previous edits that I could not save.  
    4. I still get an error saying to pull the latest version.  Right after I perform a pull.  It is like the local version is not updated.

    Is there a work around for this?

        My only recourse is to usually re-pull the whole project into a new project directory.

          First of all - thanks for getting back to us with this.

          We're aware of some issues with Pulling functionality and are currently working hard to include them into the release - we've even postponed our release in order to get this done.

            This is still not fixed.  I am having to stop using your IDE until this is resolved.  This is a HUGE issue with multiple developers in the same environment.  Since I cannot pull latest version from server and have them actually update the local content.  Feel free to email me when this is fixed.

              Agreed. This is becomming a serious issue. I am trying to pull for the last hour. Slowly but suzrely it becoms a deal breaker for me

                It's sad to hear that we haven't resolved your issues with pull. We've postponed our plans on external Git integration and fully focusing this sprint on existing issues - one of them with top priority is a pull process. We will do our best to release fixes for all know pull issues within this week as a hotfix patch and hope that it will be the last such issue.


                I understand your situation and thanks for your patience with this issue for a while. I'll say it again - we'll do our best to fix this asap and I'll drop you a few words here and on email.

                  I am working on production projects with Welkin and when an urgent issue appears it is very hard to fix it without pulling the code.

                    Its not a matter of using repository  anyone can do this with current tech.  

                    It is an issue that pulling from SalesForce servers will not override local version if I want it to.  Lets say I am working on a class file.  Another Dev made an edit directly to the server file.  I go to pull latest version, and I cant.  Furthermore, if i go to delete content from the metadata, then re-subscribe.  It does not download the latest version either.

                      Also, I have expirienced in several cases that I cannot pull cetain classes. No matter what I do, they cannot be pulled.

                        Hi guys,


                        Just wanted to keep you update - we've started to work on Pull process fixes on last Thursday and currently all the changes are being reviewed by the team. If everything would be OK we aim to perform internal testing today-tomorrow and tomorrow or on Friday we're going to release a hotfix with lots of fixes for pull.

                          Hi guys,


                          Finally I'm back to you - just pressed the red button and 0.21.8 is released with lots of fixes for Pull process.


                          I hope that your issues would be resolved and we'll get you back :)


                          There is still one moment that we're handling in not the best way - sandbox refresh, but we think that it's in general a normal solution to recreate a project once sandbox is refreshed. At least until we don't improve this case handling as well.

                              Hi ikljaic,


                              Please let me know if you still experience issues with pulling changes from SF orgs. In addition to the fixes in 0.21.8 we've released some more fixes for pull in 0.21.13 update.


                              If we're still failing to fix pull issues that you're experiencing please help us with following information:

                              • After trying to pull the project - send us a log ("Help -> Report a bug")
                              • Was there any changes to the project structure/contents between last successful pull and first failing pull?
                              • If you know what changes should be pulled from SF - is there anything that may affect project structure (deleting files, adding files, renaming files, etc.) or project itself (credentials change, sandbox refresh, etc.)

                              And just to confirm - old projects that were created before 0.21.8 or 0.21.13 may be copputed and won't work anyway. So it's better testing with a fresh new ones.

                                    Hi Vladimir,


                                    this does not work at all!  I'm using version 0.26.7.4


                                    Scenario:


                                    1. Modify file locally and save it (don't push just save it).

                                    2. Pull from Salesforce

                                    3. Check local file and verify the code was updated with the Salesforce version

                                    4. File is not updated/refreshed
