Hi,
In a VisualForce page, I've some hebrew chars. When saving the page to SF, the hebrew chars are remplaced with '?'.
I think there is a problem with the encoding of the saving element. What can I do?
Regards,
Ilan

Hi Ilan,
Thank you for your question.
You can select the appropriate type of encoding that you need in the follow settings: Main menu -> File -> Advanced Save Options. I should say that this option is only present in the menu if the file or files are opened in the Editor.

We have reproduced the issue with ‘Unicode (UTF-8 without signature)’ and everything worked great. If this type of encoding is acceptable for you, you can use it.
Thank you,
Kate

Hello,
I've got a problem this morning running query and It was the result of en encoding problem. The class source file was encoded using Windows default and not UTF-8 (without BOM).
After I've modified the encoding for UTF8 and touch the file before saving (because changing encoding dont change the changed statut of the file for the build process) the problem has gone.
It will be nice to propose a default encoding for APEX objects (class, trigger, ...) in the general options menu...
Regards,
NB: You've developed a very nice product.

Hi,
Thank you for your example of the work with the encoding of files.
We already have the feature request about the default setting for the encoding option in our Backlog.
I’ll keep you updated when this will be released in the TWS, but currently I’m afraid I cannot tell you the exact terms of the implementing this.
Thank you for your feedback about our work on the IDE also. This is a real pleasure for our team.
Regards,
Kate

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your question.
The 'Advanced Save Options' option is available in the Main menu -> File when you have any file opened in the Editor.
Please, let us know if this doesn't work for your in this case.
