    Every time I try to run a test class, method or suite Welkins crashes. I've tried creating the projects in different directories and I've tried different projects. They all seem to crash the IDE. I can do a code coverage refresh and it will show recently completed tests and the coverage of any given class. I can also see the test created in the Salesforce instance that I'm trying to run the test. It shows up in the developer console and will run to completion.

      Hi Drew,


      Thank you for contacting us on this.


      I kindly ask you to send us a bug report directly from the IDE after reproducing the issue. You can find this functionality in the menu Help -> Report a Bug, please put your email and enable the 'Attach Log File' checkbox. This way we will receive your TWS logs that could help us to find a reason for this crash.


      Also, may I please ask you to check if the issue would be reproduced when you run the same tests from the 'Unit tests' list in the Run Tests wizard instead of using tests suites.


      Looking forward to your response and to a bug report from you with attached log files.

        Kate, 


        Bug report sent.

        It does exactly the same thing if I run a specific test from the run test wizard. It also crashes when I have the unit test open and right click to run a specific unit test method or the whole class. 

        I attempted three different unit test runs before sending the bug report. I hope that helps.

          Thank you for your response and for the detailed bug report with attached log files, and thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.


          A reason for TWS crash are unhandled exceptions, and our developers have already started to work on them.

          We are going to make the necessary changes to avoid this crash and to extend logging to get an information about a reason for these exceptions. All these changes will be included in the upcoming version of the IDE Bloom R18.

              Since the update I received on Wednesday, I cannot initiate any tests in the IDE without it crashing. I have also filed a bug report.

                Greetings,


                Thank you for your post and for the bug report.


                According to your TWS log files from the bug report, there are expired Salesforce credentials in your TWS project.

                I kindly ask you to check and update your login, password, and security token in the project's properties, or please re-authorize if you've used the OAuth authentication during your project creation (this option is available in the menu Project -> Re-authorize with OAuth authentication).


                We will also work on this issue in one of the nearest versions of the IDE so that to show an appropriate message instead of crashing the IDE.

                  Yes, fixing the credentials in one of the other projects in the solution resolved the test crash.  Thank you!
