I try to build my code and I get a message that I need to pull first, when I pull I get a message that all my files are updated, this was an endless cycle.

Another developer here had modified a controller and then during the build hit cancel because it was taking more than 20 minutes, once he did that we both couldnt pull or push so he went to salesforce and deleted the controller than tried to pull again but welkin suite couldn't see that change, we tried a few different things to get it to work and then just decided to create a new project and just pull whatever salesforce had for us but now we are both waiting roughly 15 minutes each in this screen that says: "Download Salesforce Project - your project is on its way to you. - please be patient as this may take some time" but then getting a message that says:

Sorry, we couldny download your project files

    Possible Reason:

    - Problems with internet connection - no problems here.

-Maintenance works at Salesforce - possible but unlikely

-Invalid username/password - everthing is valid

-security token or incorrect while IP is not whitelisted - our IP is whitelisted, this isn't the issue.

We are currently dead in the water with development.

Is there something we can do to "reset" it all?

If not, is there a support number that we can call to get help with this?

Ok we got it fixed. You can open developer console in sales force and then in the bottom click the progress tab and then click the button: Cancel All Deployments. Now I only wish there was something in the suite that would notice there was a push pull loop happening and then offer up a button to cancel deployments and retry.

        Hi Luke,

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention.

We haven't been faced with this case before, and our developers will investigate how the TWS processes go on the Salesforce Org when any deployment processes are run on it and why it blocks other functionality such as the project creation.

I kindly ask you to send us your TWS log files for our investigation. You can find them in the next folder: C:\ProgramData\TheWelkinSuite\Application, and attach to a post in the current topic, or please send us a bug report directly from the IDE (Main Menu -> Help -> Report a Bug). In the second case, please make sure that the 'Attach Log File'  checkbox is enabled, and as a description, you can paste the link to the current topic.

We will appreciate if your colleague would send his log files also.

These files will help us greatly to analyze TWS behavior.

We are going to implement displaying the appropriate message when parallel processes are run on a Salesforce Organization, and we will consider if the abort option would be present in the IDE.

        Thank you for your collaboration.

        Regards,

        Kate

Ok, I am unable to attach it to this post because the file is ~2.5Mb which is over the 500KB max file size, so I will submit via the other method using the application, I'll also ask my co-worker to send his as well.

            Hi Luke,

Thank you for your sent bug reports. We got both of them.

Considering the issue you were faced with, we've added the requested by you option to our backlog. Our developers will investigate ways to analyze the list of processes on the server which can block some other ones, and we will implement an ability to cancel deployments processes on a Salesforce Org directly from the IDE.

Right now I cannot tell you when exactly this will be done. I'll keep you updated on this.

            Regards,

            Kate
