    Hi,

I'm getting Failed login to server when I open Welkin Blaze R16. This occurs because for this specific org I need to be connected to a VPN, and it seems that Weklin tries to login on start (it does until it gets Password Lockout). Is it possible to disable this? I want to work "offline" and then, when I'm ready, I start VPN and then I push my code.

    Thank you.

    Miguel Duarte

      Hi Miguel,

Thank you for contacting us on this.

When you launch the IDE, the license service always checks if you have access to the IDE according to your license /subscription.

This is why this is necessary to be 'on-line' when you start TWS.

After this, you can disable connection and work on your code.

If you have any additional questions, please let me know - I'll be happy to answer them.

      Regards,

      Kate

        Hi Kate,

Thank you for your fast reply! :)

I understand and I know that welkin checks at start for my lincense. That's ok for me. The issue is when I open the solution/project, even if I didn't ask for any refresh of any data, it tries to connect to my org, and since it needs a VPN, which I don't want to connect right away, it keeps trying to login until it locks my user. The question is: is there any option do disable this connection to my org? I don't have that sync automatically thing, so it shouldn't do anything except open the solution/project.

        Thank you once again,

        Miguel Duarte

          Hi Miguel,

Thank you for the additional details related to the issue that you are faced with.

May I please ask you to let me know if you have used OAuth authentication during your project creation?

If yes, in this case, the IDE connects to your org every time when you open the project. And this can be a reason for the error.

If you have used regular Salesforce credentials (login, password, and security token if this is necessary), I kindly ask you to reproduce the issue one more time and send us a bug report with attached log files directly from the IDE - you can find this functionality in the menu help -> Report a bug, please specify your email and enable the 'Attach Log File' checkbox.
This way we would receive your TWS logs which can help to get an information about the error.

          Thank you,

          Kate

             Hi Kate,

I've used regular Salesforce credentials (login, password and security token). I've reproduced the issue and reported a but like you've suggested.

            Best regards,

            Miguel Duarte

              Hi Miguel,

Thank you for your response and for the bug report from you.

May I please ask you to let me know if you have any of the following panels opened in the IDE: Test Results panel, Schema Explorer, and Admin panel.

These panels get data directly from your organization and this is why the connection to your org can be required when you open a project.

I kindly ask you to close these panels in your TWS UI, and please check if the issue is reproduced after this.

              Looking forward to your response.

              Thank you,

              Kate

                Hi Kate,

I had Test Results panel and Schema Explorer, although both minimised. I've tried with those closed and still got a lot of calls to salesforce (5 to be more accurate).
I've attached logs from that attempt.

                Best regards,
                Miguel Duarte
