    Hi all,
    Thanks of releasing the masOS version of the Suite. I was really waiting for it.
    The issue I am experiencing is that when I enter my Sandbox credentials, I get the attached error, which is consistent with the Salesforce documentation, but I am not sure how I should solve it.
    UNSUPPORTED_CLIENT: TLS 1.0 has been disabled in this organization, please use TLS1.1 or higher when connecting to salesforce using https.

    Cloud you please assist?

          Hi Vladimir,

          This option is no longer there, as Salesforce have forced TLS 1.1 on sansboxes... Any other work around?

            Hi Diego and leeBringg,

            Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention - we have missed to note about that in the release notes and the changelog for the release.

            Support of the TLS 1.1 in Mac is pretty complicated right now, especially on the Mono platform that we are using. We are expecting to Mono Framework team to implement proper native support for the TLS 1.1 in Mac, so we will be able to properly resolve this issue in The Welkin Suite for Mac.



            However right now you should disable TLS 1.1 enforcement on your org to work with it in TWS for Mac. To do this please navigate in your org to the Setup -> Critical Updates and press "Deactivate" near the "Require TLS 1.1 or higher for HTTPS connections" update. This will allow TWS to communicate with your org.

            Hope this will resolve your issue.

              Hi guys,

              Once more want to thank you for bringing this to us as well as want to say sorry for this issue.

              Right now our Mac team is working on this issue at a highest priority and I will provide you almost real-time updates here. Additionally we are looking for possible workarounds for the issue. However until the workaround/fix implemented it is only possible to connect to the production or development organizations where you still can disable that critical update.

                I am pleased that the Mac OS version is moving forward. I've also failed the attempt to connect with my sandbox environment. I also found that I cannot deactivate TLS 1.1 in our admin area. So, I will wait for the addition of the TLS 1.1 feature in the Mac OS version of TWS.

                  Hi Mike,

                  I absolutely understand that it's not good to not be able to work with sandboxes, however in the meantime you can try The Welkin Suites capabilities on your development orgs - you should be able to connect to them without any problems (after disabling the critical update I've mentioned above).

                  Hope you will try and enjoy TWS on a dev org!

                    Thanks for making the MAC version available to us. I would love to use it except for the TLS1.2 issue. All of my systems require TLS1.2, unfortunately all I can do is play around in my own personal dev org. I will keep an eye out for the TLS1.2 update and will then promote it out to my team and see how they like it. My windows users love using the Welkin suite.

                        I was able to deactivate TLS1.2 in my dev org so I can connect now.



                        I ran into this same problem in a C# .NEt app and I had to target the 4.6 Framework. [b].[i]NET 4.5.2 does not support negotiation to TLS 1.2, but .NET 4.6 does[/i][/b]. Not sure of the Framwork versions for Mono.

                        You can also force the use of TLS1.2 using this:

                        // This will force the .Net framework to use TLs1.2



                        [b]ServicePointManager.SecurityProtocol = SecurityProtocolType.Tls12;[/b]



                        Again, Not sure how that applies to Mono. and it isn't a good long term solution.

                          Thank you for the update. I know you are aware of the new mono, but wanted to share this with everyone if they use Mono to develop and connect. Mono has newTls in its 4.6.0 version, Like C# .net framework 4.6.

                          and there are pluggin packages also available for mono for older versions.

                            marshall, thank you for the advice - unfortunately we're using Mono and it doesn't support TLS higher than 1.0

                            jchristman we've tried that version during alpha as well as 2 weeks ago and it seemed to not work - that "Potentially" in the Mono release notes really makes sense.

                            Right now there's some movement around BoringTLS merge to the Mono, however it will take at least a couple of months till the stable version may appear, so we will keep brainstorming possible workarounds that we can implement next days.

                              It seems that we have a good option that we can implement now in order to fix this issue. We are targeting a new Mac release with a fix for this issue in the beginning/middle of this week.
