    Hello All,

I'm sure this has been solved, but in my search, I cannot find anything that answers this. I just installed the Welkin Suite (having come from a .NET background it's much more familiar looking so far). I downloaded our Salesforce project and I'm trying to add a class to the project. When I try to add the class, I get the error that states:

"Sorry but there is a problem with creating a file in Salesforce"

    Possible Reasons:

    - File with such name already exists

    - Problems with internet connection

    - Maintenance work at Salesforce.

Now each of these is not the case. I know there is not file, there aren't any issues with my connectivity either. It feels like it has to be something simple. Secondly, is there a way to just create the file locally? I don't know why it would create the file in Salesforce right away. I'd prefer a local instance, and then push once my logic is in place.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I think compilation is done on the SFDC server, not on your local PC, so there's really not much advantage to not sending it to SFDC.

Have you tried logging into your org with a web browser and manually creating the class there? If it didn't work, it would tell you that the problem's not TWS. If it did work, you could just re-pull your classes and get moving again.

Ok, I figured it out. I told you it was something simple :) I had my solution connection to production, not the sandbox I thought I connected to. Thanks goodness for security controls.

Yup, that'll do it. Glad you got it sorted!
