I have noticed the 'Navigate to..' option on the Top right hand side is minimzed and there is not way to open it again. It is replaced with an arrow ('>>')  and not able to reopen the search box again. It only appears after close and reopen of the IDE.  Please refer to the attache screenshot.

    thanks again.

      Hi Farid,

Thank you for your bug report.

May I please ask you to let me know what version of Mac OS do you have?

Also, can you please check if the search box appears after you change the size of the TWS window?

We are going to investigate this issue and this information will be helpful for us.

      Thank you,

      Kate

Hello and thank you for your prompt response,

the Mac version is : 10.14.2

The Search box does appear after resizing however i have to extend the width of the IDE much greater than the monitor size (add a new screenshot) and then the search box appears and when i resize the IDE back to the full size of the Monitor it minimizes again.

        Thanks again.

Has any progress been made on this issue? I experience it a few times per day and it's rather tiresome to have to close the app and reopen to get the search box back.

This is something I am experiencing as well. Although, the workaround, closing and re-opening the IDE, does not restore the Quick Launch Bar. I have even tried uninstalling and re-installed The Welkin Suite.

Any updates? This is making The Welkin Suite unusable for me.

                        Hello Farid!

Our development team is steel looking on the solution for this issue.

You can try to use the next shortcut for search: Command + Shift + F or You can activate it by pressing the Cmd+F hotkey or choosing this function from the Main Menu: Search ⇒ Find. After the Quick search is activated you will see the input window at the top right corner of the IDE's window.

Also, you can review the next docs about this functionality: Find & Replace OptionsFind in Files.

I hope it helps before we find a solution.

                        Have a great day!

                          Ihor,

I've hung in there for almost four months, but I'm getting pretty tired of paying for an IDE that doesn't work correctly on my Mac. How much longer should I continue paying each month for you guys to fix this bug? I am happy to jump on a screenshare to demonstrate its ill effects. I'm pretty sure this bug is affecting all users on MacOS 10.15.x, because when I use the latest version of Welkin Suite on a Mac using MacOS 10.14.x, I do not have these issues.

I really want Welkin Suite to be a viable IDE for Salesforce Development, but with this bug, it is falling short.

                          Thanks,

                          Chris

                            Hello Chris.

I hope you are doing well!

We want to first apologize for any inconvenience or problems that this issue caused you.

We did reproduce the issue related to the search bar and found that a source of this issue is related to MonoDevelop functionality.

The Welkin Suite for Mac is based on MonoDevelop, this would be difficult for us to find a way to avoid this issue. However, we keep tracking the updates for MonoDevelop Shell, and, also, we will do our best to find a way to solve this on our side.

At this moment, we continue looking for the fix for this issue, but it is not so simple problem to resolve. I have just extended your subscription for 2 months for free. We hope this experience doesn't tarnish your good opinion of us :)

If you have any other questions or suggestions, please contact me. I will be happy to assist.

                            Best Regards,
                            Ihor

I too have been experiencing this issue for quite some time (4+ months).  I too had figured out that resizing the window seemed to cause/correct the issue (it was usually after undocking my Mac and using my laptop screen).  I recently upgraded to macOS Catalina, and now the issue seems to be permanent.  Resizing the window or restarting the application doesn't fix it anymore.  Command + Shift + F is the only way I can search in my files anymore.  All I ever see is the chevrons/arrows now where my search used to be.

Please find a way to address this issue.  I have found myself using Welkin Suite less and less since this problem started occurring.
