    Hi there,

I started using The Welkin Suite, and it seems the Snippets are not listed in the Completion list.

For example, when typing "for" I expected to see the for loop snippet, but I did not, even though I enabled the checkbox next to "Show Code Snippets in Completion List".

    Please advise.

    Walid

          Hi Walid,

Thank you for contacting us on this and sorry for the delay in our response.

May I please clarify with you if the issue is reproduced in all the cases or it depends on a context where you are typing?

Can you please check if you would get a list of snippets in the completion list when you are inside a method in your class file?

Also, I kindly ask you to send us a screenshot related to the issue if this is acceptable to you.

As a side note, all the details about the Code Snippets functionality is available for you here.

Looking forward to your response and will be happy to assist.

          Thank you,

          Kate

            Hi Kate,

Snippets are available inside methods in classes, but why they are not available in other contexts like Anonymous Apex? Are snippets limited to Methods body? CAn we make them available in other places?

              Greetings,

              Thank you for your post.

May I please ask you to check if the code snippets suggestions appear when using the hot-key 'Ctrl+k, Ctrl+X' or when you use the command from the menu Edit -> Code Completion -> Insert Snippet in your Anonymous Apex file?

The Code Snippets functionality is implemented in Apex Classes, Triggers, and they are available in Anonymous Apex.

              Thank you,

              Kate

Hi, yes they appear when I use Ctrl K Ctrl X.

Any way to make them appear when I start typing? Just like when I am inside a method?

                Thanks.

                  Greetings,

                  Thank you for your response.

We are going to investigate why the code snippets don't appear automatically in a code completion list.

May I please clarify with you if the code snippets do not appear automatically in a list of suggestions when you are typing in Apex Triggers and Anonymous Apex, while in the Apex Classes they do?

                  Thank you,

                  Kate

                    Hi Kate.

                    Thanks for your assistance.

Inside a method, I can access the snippet, but not outside (for example Execute Anonymous). See the 2 screenshots. InMethod shows that I can access snippet from inside a method, outMethod shows that I can't access snippet in Anonymous window.

                    Thanks.
