    Hello,

Usually compiling after pressing F5 goes quite fast. I have responses in about 1 or 2 minutes and that is fine. But sometimes it happens that it can take up to 15 or 20 minutes. That's not a problem caused by TWS, but more a problem that the Salesforce has a real busy and slow day. A side effect is that it seems that TWS is constantly checking/polling something during the build and this burns through our API Requests and after a couple of hours we can't even build anymore due to we have exceeded our Total API Requests Limit.

Eclipse doesn't have this side effect. If we check our logs we can see that the TWS users take up by far the most API Requests, about 6 to 7 times more.

Is there something we can do about it?

    Regards

    Frank

      Hi Frank,

Thank you for letting us know about this issue!

It is strange that The Welkin Suite consumes so much API calls during that "very-very long builds" - we have the logic for frequent calls within first 1-2 minutes of the build, while significantly lowering the frequency of API calls to Salesforce after 2 and 5 minutes of the build process. Do you see the "extremely" high numbers of API calls especially in the moments (hours, etc.) when Salesforce is so slow, or is it all the time looks that way?

However, we have started to provide ways to configure calls frequency, so we will also add the frequency configuration for the Build process + timeout settings for it in the future. I hope that we will do this within the next couple releases.

Additionally, if you're using Debug Logs panel and "Download Logs" option there - you might try reducing the frequency of polls for new logs (by default is set to "every 20 seconds"). If this is not critical for you it can reduce the number of total API calls done by the IDE.

      Thank you,

      Vlaimir
