Hi there. Not sure if this is a real bug or some feature gone arwy, but there's an annoying behavior that seems to kick in when I type a single quote.

In the attached file, I recorded an example of what I'm seeing. I'm writing some code where I am assigning strings, and there are times when I start the string that the cursor jumps to the next line and times where it doesn't. I tested it and it doesn't seem to be linked to the assignment of variables. It just seems specifically when I use the single quote character. I tried a few times where I just start a line with a single quote and I have seen the cursor jump to the next line.

It's not a severe problem, but it's very annoying. Any idea what's going on?

UPDATE:  Just a little update, i've discovered that the single quote or double quote is sometimes replaced with a left arrow.  What I mean is that sometimes when I type a ' or a ", the editor replaces it with an arrow right.  Any clue how I can stop this annoying behavior?

      Hi Vincent,

Thank you for this bug report.

We are aware of some issue in the code formatting functionality and that there are some places for improvements, especially this applies to the work with braces and quotes.

Our developers will investigate the issue that you are faced with - if this is a new bug or some code formatting options started work another way, and we will work on this in future versions of the IDE.

Also, I will contact you when we will find a solution or workaround for using the quotes when they are replaced with arrows.

Also, the attached file is absent, so may I please ask you to send it to us one more time.

      Thank you,

      Kate

        Hey Kate,

I think I discovered what functionality this bug is associated to.  If you turn off "Highlight matching braces" typing a single or double quote does not break to a new line.  I imagine this will help the developer debug why the bug is occuring.

          Hi Calvin.

          Thank you for your update.

Right now I cannot tell you when exactly this will be done.

I will keep you updated on the process of the implementation of this feature.

          Regards, Ihor.
