Hi, first and foremost, love the product!

I have an existing project tied to a Sandbox org. When I created the project, I received errors "Sequence contains no elements" when trying to pull down about half of the types (triggers, layouts, apex classes, etc.). So, I was able to create a project successfully by selecting only Apex Classes.

I then right click on the project in the solution explorer and select "Project Metada Components" and add just one more group, i.e. Layouts. When I click on an additional group, the window displays the message that I must pull from salesforce when adding new components. OK, so I cancel, right click the project and Pull from Salesforce and after a few seconds, the IDE says I have all the most recent files.

I then try to add new metadata components and still get the message that I must Pull from Salesforce to add new objects. When I click continue, I get the error message "We could not get Metadata", "Please try again later".

I have submitted a bug report (unique ID ED2363D9A558A4A8B8CC4421E742223C) through the IDE but wanted to include here as well for others searching.

    Thanks!

      Hi Dave,

Thank you for being with us and for your report.

The issue you are faced with is related to TWS queries to Salesforce for your metadata files.

Several days ago we released the updated version of The Welkin Suite IDE that includes the fix for this issue.

I kindly ask you to update TWS to the Spire R2 version.

Please let us know if this is reproduced after updating the IDE.

      Regards,

      Kate

Hi, I was able to pull more items down without error when creating the project but it still cannot pull additional items. I updated to Spire R2 (was actually done automatically) and deleted and recreated the sandbox, partial copy based project in my solution. My solution has two other Salesforce orgs in it, a dev environment and the production environment for the sandbox I'm having errors connection to.

When I right click on the project and select "Project Metadata Components", the dialog box lists all the components but if I check any and select OK/Apply, I get an instant error message about not being able to retrieve metadata.

Bug report submitted, unique PC ID ED2363D9A558A4A8B8CC4421E742223C.

        Thanks,

        Dave

          Hi Dave,

Thank you for your response and for the additional information.

May I please clarify with you which types of metadata have you added in the Project Metadata Components wizard when you have gotten the error?

Our developers have found the reason for this issue when the Email Templates, Dashboards, or Reports are added in the metadata list in Spire R2.

I kindly ask you to open the 'Project metadata Components' wizard again, select the necessary metadata files besides these ones, click 'Apply' and then force the pull from Salesforce process. New files should be added to your TWS project during the pull from your Org.

If the issue is reproduced I kindly ask you to send us the bug report again.

          Thank you,

          Kate

Thank you for the prompt reply. I tried to pull a Workflow though I encountered the issue the other date with Apex Classes as well.

I submitted a bug report and referenced this thread.

            Thanks!

            Dave

              Hi Dave,

Thank you for your bug report with the attached log file.

May I please clarify if you use the project structure sync option? According to the errors in your log file, we have the suggestion that the failed pull processes were related to this functionality.

Can I please ask you to perform the following steps in order to let you pull the project and to help us understand the reason for the issue:

              1) In TWS in the Solution Explorer please right-click on the project and select the "Disable project structure sync" item and agree with the confirmation.

              2) Open your Org in the browser and confirm that TWS_Sync_Data static resource is deleted. If no - please delete it.

              3) Force the pull process in The Welkin Suite IDE.

              4) In addition, please open the 'Project Metadata Components' wizard, select some metadata files and force pull again using the context menu of your TWS project in the Solution Explorer.

Please let us know the result of this.

Our developers have started the investigation on the issue when the Workflows files were not added to your project after the pull.

We appreciate your collaboration greatly, and we are going to solve this issue as soon as possible.

              Thank you,

              Kate

Thanks Kate, really appreciate the prompt research.

I performed the steps 1-3. However, there was no static resource TWS_Sync_Data in my static resources when I opened the Org in salesforce.com. Please note, this is a sandbox/partial copy org.

I tried step 4 and selected Triggers and had the same error -> "We could not get metadata, Please retry again later".

I've just submitted a bug report through TWS.

                Thanks,

                Dave
