One feature I miss very much from Eclipse is "Working sets", where I can filter the project view down to an arbitrary set of files.  I know that I can filter by "Pending Changes", "Open Files", and also by the search box at the top of the explorer, but it would be really nice to be able to have a whole set of files saved into a separate "view" for working on a specific project.

I just found the "Bookmarks" feature - this looks like it may accomplish what I need.  :-D

        Hi again, Tim,

I’m glad you have seen ‘Bookmarks’ and it seems really can be used instead ‘Working sets’.

Thank you for the request anyway.

Well, I just realized bookmarks don't seem to persist across sessions - If I close TWS and reopen it, my booksmarks are all gone!  Is this normal?  If this is normal functionality, then bookmarks are not useful for a "working set" type use-case.  Any other ideas?

            HI Tim,

Sorry that the ‘Bookmarks’ are not able to completely replace the ‘Working sets’ for you. Thanks for letting us know that the bookmarks that you make are not saved for the next sessions, and this issue with unsaved bookmarks will be fixed by our team.

Unfortunately currently TWS has no function like ‘Working sets’ in general.

We are adding this new feature to our backlog and will start to investigate all details.

As soon as any decision regarding this issue is made, we will update you.

            Thank you,

            Kate

Thanks Kate.  As far as my use case goes, bookmarks WOULD replace working sets for me if they were saved/restored in future TWS sessions.

For anyone missing "Working Sets" from Eclipse, here's a workaround until TWS gets the Bookmark feature working correctly.  I just made a list of all the components which I need to access regularly.  I stored it as an AnonymousApex file.  Then when I need to go to one of those classes, I just highlight the class-name and hit Ctrl+,  (Control-Comma).  This brings up the "Navigate To" box, with the class name pre-populated.  Then just hit Enter to go there.  Not ideal, but it works better than having nothing at all.  :-D
