It would be great if we could pull new Static Resources down from Salesforce the same way we can with the other object types. The support for updating files within zip files is awesome, but I can't access static resources created after I pulled the project down.

    Thanks,

    Mark

      Hi Mark,

Totally agree with you - we're starting working next week on this improvement. Unfortunately we won't support adding new files to Static Resources or modifying Static Resources structure from TWS yet, but we'll definitely add new Static Resources pulling pretty soon.

Thanks for letting us know what's important for you - this helps us prioritizing "equal-importance" features more precise.

      Thanks,

      Vova

        Hi,

I think this might have changed into a bug from a feature request. I'm no longer able to build my project - each time I try to build, I get this message:

Error 21 Files that you had modified, have pending server changes. Please pull first! C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\12.0\bin\Build.targets

I try pulling down, and it says everything is up to date, but I am still unable to build. I realized that I made an update to a static resource outside of TWS, and I think the build process is seeing that it is an old version and stopping me from building, but since I can't pull down the updated Static Resource, I think I'm stuck.

        Any ideas?

        Thanks,
        Mark

          Hi Mark,

I'm sorry that this issue blocks you. This change is already in work by our dev team. I won't promise but we're looking forward to release Beta 3 version this week with this done.

At the moment I'm not able to advise you any workarounds except of creating new project.

          Thanks,

          Vova

            Hi,

Thanks for the update. I pulled down a new copy of the project and moved over to that, and that worked. Looking forward to the new version!

            Thanks,

            Mark

Just to add another voice to this request. I have the same problem, I work from home and from the office. I can swap easily between the locations, except if I changed something in the static resources, I have to do a full checkout (by creating a new project) to fix the issue. Would be awesome to update the static resources!

                Hi Mark and Ron,

In the latest version we've released on Friday (0.15.3.4) we've focused on improving work with Static Resources. At the moment The Welkin Suite pulls new files from Static Resources and pulls new Static Resources as it should.

Hope it'll make your development life a bit easier.

Please let me know if you'll experience any issues with this functionality.

                Thanks,

                Vladimir
