My autocomplete does not start searching in the beginning of a word but all over the place.

If I type 'title' autocomplete will pull our custom object 'AccountEntitlement' and add that in. Is there a way to control this behavior? I've been going through the help and the settings but I can't find it anywhere?

if not, how do I disable it all together?

      Hi,

Currently this behavior (searching all over the place) is "as designed", but we are going to add some options for configuring Code Completion behavior - this is not going to happen in the next release, but hopefully within next some months it'll be done.

In your current case - is "title" a variable or some field that should be present in Code Completion but it's not there? If yes - please let us know some more details and we'll work on this asap.

Also I've moved this topic to the "Feature Requests" forum.

      Thanks,

      Vladimir

I don't have that specific example in my head cause it's been a while (sorry).

An example of funky behavior would be declaring a Contract record. If I start typing "id" it will find the standard AccountId but not the standard Id field, messing up the autocomplete. I also noticed "Name" is not there.

        e.g.

        Contract c = new Contract();

c.Id (not there, but AccountId is)

I'll try to keep an eye out and document any findings.

          Hi,

We're aware of lack of standard fields in Code Completion - we have following fields in our plan for release in 2 weeks:

          • String Name
          • Id Id
          • Id CreatedById
          • Id OwnerId
          • Datetime CreatedDate
          • Id LastModifiedById
          • Datetime LastModifiedDate

And after that we'll work on adding all standard fields for standard and custom objects in the next months.

          Thanks,

          Vladimir
