    Hi there,

It would be handy to have a context menu "Locate in Solution Explorer" option when right clicking on a opened file in the main window (perhaps adding the option just in the file header tab context menu would be sufficient) which would then have the Solution Explorer panel highlight the relevant file node, scrolling and opening ancestor nodes in the tree view if necessary.

    Cheers,

    Donnie

      Hi Donnie,

Thank you for this feature request. We've added it to the backlog.

In the meantime you can use almost the same functionality (but with exactly the same result)  by default you can use the "CTRL + ] , S" hotkey when working in any file - this hotkey will select this file in the Solution Explorer. If you'd like to change the hotkey itself you can navigate to the Tools -> Options -> Environment -> Keyboard, in the 'Show commands containing:' field enter the 'SyncWithActiveDocument' and select the corresponding command in the list below. Once you do this you can setup the new keyboard shortcut for this command in the lower part of the window.

      Hope this helps :)

      Thank you,

      Vladimir
