    I just purchased The Welkin Suite and and trying to install it. When I run the installer, the installer comes up, but displays the following error:



    Setup could not download file 'TheWelkinSuite.msi' because of error : There was no endpoint listening at https://updater.welkinsuite.com/autoupdaterservice.svc that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.



    What is the resolution to this issue so I can install TWS?

      Hi Scott,



      Thank you for your contacting us with this issue.

      The installer that you have downloaded from TWS site is the web-installer and when it is launched it downloads the full version of the IDE.

      The reason for the failed TWS installation is the denied access to the server with the full installer of TWS. The address of this server is pointed in the error. This can be caused by the security policies on your computer.

      I kindly ask you to turn off your Firewall and repeat the installation. This is the most common reason for such issues.

      In addition, please open the file 'hosts' that is located in the next folder: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Can you please check if there are any entries related to the '*.welkinsuite.com'? If they are, please remove them.

      Please let us know if these steps help you to install The welkin Suite IDE.

        Hi Kate,

        Thanks for the quick response.

        I noticed that URL in the error message. I put it into my browser and it worked just fine, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work in the installer.

        I work at a company where I don't have control of the firewall, and they wouldn't turn it off for any reason, so that solution is not available.

        I checked the hosts file and there is nothing in it.

        I have the beta version 0.28.2.4 installed on my computer. Could this be causing any issues?

          Hi Scott,



          Thank you for your response.

          Our developers have investigated the failed installation in your case more detailed, and the reason for this is exactly the security policy settings.

          We are working on the offline version of TWS installer that can solve current issue.



          Right now, I'll send to your email the version of The Welkin Suite installer that you can use to launch TWS Spire, however the IDE won't be updated automatically in this case. This is the temporary workaround to give you an ability use The Welkin Suite Spire.

                I'm getting this error when installing. I had the beta versions from a couple months back and uninstalled it a long time ago but it still seems to find some remnant in there causing the error below.

                The older version of The Welkin Suite cannot be removed.  Contact your technical support group.  

                Please help.

                  Can you please tel me if you removed the Beta version of TWS using Control Panel?
                  I kindly ask you to send us your 'TWS_Installation.log' file which is located in the next folder: %LocalAppData%\The Welkin Suite\Installation\. You can attach it here or send to info@welkinsuite.com email.

                  In addition, I will provide you with the instruction how to remove The Welkin Suite IDE using your Regedit. I'll send it to your email.

                    Is there any process to uninstall so  I can redo the installation process.

                    Assume something went wrong during my initial installation when I used a trail version of the software.

                    Now i got the license for the enterprise version and I want to reinstall just to avoid any future issues.

                    When I try to reinstall on top of the current software it it is failing.


                    Appreciate any help!!!

                        Only thing is..it still assuming I am using my trial version.  How do I register using my enterprise version?

                          Hi Krishna,


                          In this case, this is necessary to activate your Enterprise license on TWS site.


                          Please open your Profile on the site, navigate to the menu 'My Products' -> 'Notifications', and accept the invitation to use the Enterprise license. 


                          After this, please log in to The Welkin Suite IDE using the same credentials.

                            Kate,

                            I have already accepted the invitation to use the enterprise lincense.

                            But i dont get any option to use any credentials when i start the TWS IDE.  

                            Attached the sequence of screen shots i am receiving now while opening the iDE.

                            Regarding the salesforce connection, I was able to connect to my developer(personal account) box but unable to connect to a sandbox using my official email account.

                            Verified multiple times the user/pwd/token all are correct.

                            (I do use MS Visual Studio on my PC)

                            Appreciate any help.

                              May I please clarify if you have the issue when you log in to The Welkin Suite IDE or when you are going to create a project related to your Salesforce Organization?


                              If you cannot create a project, please send us a bug report directly from the IDE. This is available for you in the Help -> Report a Bug. Please enable checkbox 'Attach Log File' and out your email. This way we will get your TWS log file and they can help us to find the reason for the issue.

                              We would greatly appreciate any additional information about your steps and the results that you have so that we cloud solve the issue which you are faced with.


                              The screen shot wasn't attached, so I kindly ask you to attach it again.

                                Kate,

                                The initial page regarding settings comes when I start or close the IDE.

                                Second blue page also comes always when I start IDE.

                                The salesforce project page is coming only when I connect to a Sandbox on salesforce. it works fine when I connect to developer edition.

                                  Kate,

                                  I used the tools/options to set the location for the settings page and used the top right icon to use the new credentials.

                                  Regarding the salesforce project, I was not selecting the correct environment (sandbox).

                                      Recent purchase - I also receive this error message:

                                        I kindly ask you to check if the security policy settings allow the TWS installation on your computer. You can find the requirements here.

                                          Getting cannot install, The older version of The Welkin Suite cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group.
                                          [14/07/2017|6:31:09 PM] - INFO: Delete registry sub key SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{24C06D05-8A82-4BA0-9892-F1CC931D3FD9} failed with error: Cannot delete a subkey tree because the subkey does not exist.

                                          The version I've got doesnt appear in Programs listing to uninstall.

                                              Im having the same issue. My Welkin Suite started to error out so I went to control panel to uninstall it but there was no instance of 'The Welkin Suite' in the list so I manually removed it by deleting the folder from x86. Now Im trying to reinstall but it produces a 'Setup Failed' in the installer and 'Unsupported Operation' in the installation log.

                                                  Thank you for your posts.


                                                  Dear user with the account name 'welkin.license01', may I please also ask you to send us your 'TWS_Installation.log' file. It will help us to solve the reason for the failed installation which you are faced with. 


                                                  Timothy, thank you for sharing your log file with us. The reason for the failed TWS installation is that TheWelkinSuite.msi file was missed in a cash and this is why the IDE wasn't removed correctly.

                                                  In this case, I kindly ask you to use the additional application provided by Microsoft to fix the uninstall issue for The Welkin Suite IDE.

                                                  To download the tool, click on the following link: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

                                                  Here are some instructions on running this tool:
                                                       1. Please click the green 'Run Now' button on the site linked above and run the program downloaded.
                                                       2. Launch the application and click the 'Next' button.
                                                       3. Microsoft Fix It will scan the machine for Windows Install and Uninstall issues.
                                                       4. Please select 'Uninstalling'.
                                                       5. Select 'TheWelkinSuite' from the programs listed and click 'Next'.
                                                       6. Select 'Yes, try uninstall'.
                                                       7. Please make sure all the Listed issues are checked and click 'Next'.
                                                       8. You will get a result status notifying you that the process succeeded.
                                                       9. Select one of the feedback options and click 'Next'.
                                                       10. Click the 'Close' button.


                                                  Some of the options can have a little bit different names according to the operations system which you are using.

                                                  After this, you can install The Welkin Suite IDE again and please let me know if everything will be going well.
