I'm trying out TWS and am seeing long times on pulling. My initial project download on setup took about 8 minutes. Now I'm in the middle of pulling a single small class (literally 26 lines of code) and it's taken two minutes so far. Definitely not my firewall or internet connection (I've tried disabling firewall and my connection is testing at 100 Mbps upload and download right now).
How long is it supposed to take to pull from SF?

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your question.
The time for the pulling process depends, first of all, on a response from your Salesforce organization.
Also, the next reason that can influent for the time of the pull process is the subscription for updates from your org - if you have the enabled 'Subscribe' option in the Project Metadata Components for some of the metadata types, each time when pulling, the IDE checks if there are new files for these metadata types. In other words, in this case, there we go through all the files and check if we should download new files to your TWS project.
So I kindly ask you to open the 'Project Metadata Components' (you can navigate to it from the menu Project), disable the 'Subscribe' option, and pull from Salesforce again. This way we can check if the time of pulling is related to looking for new files on the org.
In addition, can you please tell me what stage of the pulling process takes more time: is it on downloading or on saving files?
Thank you,
Kate

Thanks. I think I had subscribed to way too many metadata types. I went back and unchecked the ones that weren't critical to the project and things are much quicker.
