    When adding a new Item to my project, I am missing the group Apex Code to select things like 'class' and 'trigger'.

    I've worked around this by selecting the Test Class, but I now need to make a trigger and it's becomming an issue; How can I modify this or get it back?

    It's perhaps interesting to add that I can see Test Class and Anonymous Apex;

      Hi Marco,

      Thank you for contacting us with this.

      We have this functionality implemented in the IDE. However, looks like currently you have not all templates for new files.

      I kindly ask you to check which templates are present in the next folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\The Welkin Suite\The Welkin Suite\ItemTemplates\SalesforceProject\Apex Code.

      If you don't have there templates for 'Class' or 'Trigger', please uninstall the IDE, download TWS installer and install it again. This way you will refresh the data and will get all the templates.

      If additional templates won't appear in the folder (and in the IDE in the 'Add New Item' wizard) after this, please let us know.

      Thank you,

      Kate

        The aformentioned files are in the directory you mention. This does not seem to be the issue.

        I've also checked other solutions, but it's a similar issue there too.

          Hi Marco,

          Thank you for your response.

          In the case, if the issue applies to other solutions and since the templates are present in the folder, the reason could be that the IDE cannot read these templates properly.

          I kindly ask you to replace the existing templates in the 'Apex Code' folder with the attached ones. Please follow the next steps for this:

               1. please download the attached archive and unzip it;

               2. close the IDE;

               3. open the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\The Welkin Suite\The Welkin Suite\ItemTemplates\SalesforceProject\Apex Code' folder;

               4. replace existing files with the files from the archive.

          After this, please launch the IDE and check if the issue would be reproduced

          Also, can you please tell me if templates from other folders (like Lightning Bundle, or Visualforce) are available for you in the 'Add New Item' wizard in the IDE?

          Looking forward to your response.

          Thank you,

          Kate

            Hi,

            I've spent some time on this project and here are the results:
            1. Replaced zip files with the ones you provide -> Apex object still missing

            2. Extracted the Class.zip (because my testClass does show up) -> Class show up, TestClass missing (all other Apex related missing still)

            3. Uninstalled, removed settings and reinstalled (version is now Bloom17, 1.18.5.4) -> ONLY Class shows (other Apex still missing, Lighting/VF missing as well!)

            4. Extracted all zips in Apex folder -> Only Apex Interface and Batchable show up, (Lighting/VF missing)

            5. Removed all files in Apex folder -> Strangely Apex Interface and Batchable are still available (and still work)

            -----
            I've used The Welkin Suite\ItemTemplates as a backup folder; I've stopped doing that :)

            -----

            1. Empty Apex Class directory -> Lighting / VF components and Anon / Query are available
            2. Used you zip file -> SUCCESS! - I can see all objects again

            It seems that there was indeed a corrupted zip file

            Thank you for your assistance

            Marco

              Hi Marco,

              Thank you for your update!

              I'm happy to hear that now all of the items are available for you in the 'Add New Item' wizard and you can use them.

              We will investigate what could cause the corruption of templates.

              Also, if the issue would be reproduced again, please let us know about this, or you can send us the corrupted templates for our further investigation.

              Best Regards,

              Kate
